The Village Manager is the chief administrative and executive officer of all departments of the Village. The Village Manager’s Office is responsible to the Board of Trustees for the proper administration of all affairs of the Village. When there is a vacancy in this office, the duties of the Manager fall to the Mayor.


VACANCY: The Village is seeking applicants for the position of Village Manager. This is a Full Time position (40 hrs./week). Requirements: 4 year degree from an accredited college preferably with major in Public Admin. OR - 8 years management experience. The successful candidate will have knowledge, experience and supervision including: municipal law, budgeting, human resources, as well as demonstrated abilities in a team environment. Leadership, resourcefulness, integrity, community involvement, and excellent communication skills are a must. Superior computer literacy is essential. Salary - $45K-60K depending on experience. Village residency preferred, however Chemung County residency acceptable. Must pass drug screening and background check. Deadline for applications is November 30, 2018.
