The Horseheads Fire Department is located in the Finger Lakes Region of central New York. The department serves approximately 6,400 residents within the Village of Horseheads with Fire, Rescue, and EMS services.
The members of the Fire Department work closely with the Horseheads Police Department to provide the village residents with emergency services.
Horseheads Fire Department History
The Village of Horseheads organized a Fire Department in July of 1873. Over 1,136 men and women have served the citizens of Horseheads as well as neighboring town and villages from 1873 to present.
To this day, the fire department maintains the protection of life and property and are very proud to be part of the community. It is an honor to serve this fine community.
