Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Chemung County's Fall 2021 Household Hazardous Waste event is scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Pre-registration is required by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County, at 607-734-4453, Monday, September 20th thru Wednesday, October 13th, weekdays only from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm, with the exception of Columbus Day, October 11th as we will be closed. 

This event is for Chemung County residents only and is FREE to participate.

COVID-19 safety measures will be taken during this event. 

Here is information for each collection event:

Remember!

  • No electronics. 
  • No latex paints. 
  • No pets.
  • No smoking.
  • No empty containers!

Please place items in the back of your vehicle so the haulers can easily retrieve them.

  5. The waste you intend to bring and the approximate amount
