WIIA Project

Water infrastructure

In September 2019 the Village applied for a grant from the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation to make improvements to the Village water system to insure water quantity and quality for the entire water system. We are glad to report that we have been notified that that we were awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed $3 Million.

The Water Department and contracted agencies will work on the improvements to the water infrastructure with the financial help awarded through the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) grant.

The Village Water Department is working in cooperation with Fagan Engineers and Land Surveyors on this large scale project. They are assisting with the engineering plans and assisted in identifying the critical needs for upgrade to the Village’s water system.

The intention of the WIIA project is to improve and upgrade the current water infrastructure within the Village’s water infrastructure.
